Tomorrow is the day (it seems) that Freesat will launch in the UK! This means HD telly for free*!
The service doesn't seem to have been advertised very well so far which I think is a shame. There must be many more people out there just like myself that have a HD TV but don't want to pay for Sky HD or Virgin HD services which aren't exactly cheap.
HD boxes start from around £120 from Argos but I'd expect the prices to drop even lower in the coming months.
The service will allow you to watch many SD channels for free but also BBC HD and ITV HD (exclusive to Freesat), with more HD channels to follow.
For more information visit the official Freesat website: www.freesat.co.uk, the excellent www.joinfreesat.co.uk or the Freesat Wikipedia entry
*Well, the price of a receiver anyway.
